I returned after the reading the latest interview where the head guy said he was alright with the idea of 7 heroes being implemented and on top of that had other "more interesting" ideas for heroes in mind. Pretty much all the oomph I needed to hop headfirst into GW again

I'm counting the days lol

Oh ya, GW has gotten a wake up call but i worry people will take it waaaaay out of context and the economy will be crazy for a long, long time. I hope it wont crash :S I will never forget when z-keys were like 500g xD I am curious how the Halloween minis will be affected when the spooky weekend event comes...
I will never forget when ectos were 100gp each at the merchants when Anet did an economic reset of the entire game and I was there buying stack after stack hahaha boy what a race to deplete the inventory of the merchant that day.

Is that the day when they had to do the 24 hour rollback?

Also halloween, thanksgiving, wintersday is just around the corner. Very busy days/weeks in Guild wars usually. So it could be they decide to stick around.

Here is hoping for new content in Cantha soon, between halloween and wintersday would be a good time

Could someone please post a link to this interview? I think I missed it somehow.

I use GW to relax.. It's a pleasant activity to keep my fingers busy while my brain is contemplating programming or writing. So I'll be around for a while.

The influx of returnees may explains some of the... unusual behavior I've seen. Some folk probably don't know that Ritualists are now a very strong class, or that the War in Kryta exists.

If ANet can keep some new material coming (Crisis in Cantha, please!), folk will stick around. The glory of GW is that you don't NEED to spend every day in game to keep up or be effective.

The time between writing a book and seeing it printed on paper is about 6 months, sometimes longer. So I'd take any "announcements" with a word of caution.

GW2 is at least six months away. They haven't release four of the professions, they've said almost nothing about PvP, and they still have a couple of GW:Beyond add-ons to release.

My guess? April or May.

I'm utterly shocked at the prices right now. Typical of my luck, I had a bunch of those armor remnants in storage left over from Thack's scavenger hunt and just unloaded over 10 of them for 2k each. Although I am thankful my daughter collected a massive mini collection so I was able to get my mini points with no effort.

I'm glad a guildie reminded me that you can use Z-coins to unlock the black widow and to level him and the Imperial Phoenix up to 20. Very convenient.

Besides the existing game owners, there has also been an upsurge in new players who have read the articles on GW2 and want to play GW1 while they wait. This means that the population might be slightly larger than before even after the oldtimers retire again.
This is me. I got burnout on another mmo, and don't see it bringing anything exciting with its upcoming expansion. Over the last couple months I've played a handful of f2p mmos, but I hate the pay-to-win system most work on and watered down abilities/skills they use. I don't really know what GW is going to be like, but I like the idea of being able to support a developer for content and not "cheats".

Also, everything I've seen of GW2 looks unbelievably amazing, and would like to get up to speed on everything for when it comes out.

zkeys were never 500g, before the introduction of the zaishen title, they were 2k. Then promptly afterwards they rose to 5.5k and then the a slow decrease.

I don't care the reason, I'm liking it! Seeing a lot of old faces, joining in groups for missions, catching up on content I never finished, plowing through my quest lists, and just having a great time again.

It's nice to see Sorrow's Furnace getting a little love with people getting their Moa's. I always got a kick out of that place and it's pretty fun getting those greens (I'm weird that way, I love green farming for fun).

But maybe when they release new content (Cantha?) I'll do it with others this time.
Most of the WiK content is very easy to solo, which is why I think you're having trouble finding people. The last mission, however, has groups forming in LA all the time (and is quite hard to do with heroes/hh.)

well, i was surprised and hoped to see alotb coming back
a few mins after i thought that, i realized that they will be gone after their HoM *ohh, i get a deja vu*

forget it, after that calculator hits 50/50 for the ones doing it withing 3 days, or 30/50 for the ones who dont wanna go further than that, for any reason, it will get back to the old (new?) gw itself

first WiK got a few people back, now this, which may take just as long for them to leave again
maybe new contents will do it again, but not this calculator, not for a long time, just a few days.... too bad, there go the pugs from years ago

its like this: *poof* hey, i'm back
few days later: *poof* aww they're gone
i'm just waiting for 1 guy to show up, IF he does

Well I know I left GW for Aion, six months later I found out how hard Aion sucks and went back to GW, I missed how this game requires you to have skills and not gear only.

lol this game requires you to have "skills"? hahah skill playing left by the way of Ursans and PermaSins and gaming the game a long time ago. Besides you don't even need skills for 99% of the game anymore since Heroes were invented. I don't even have to cast a single spell or use a single socalled skill anymore since I created my heroes builds. I can either go along with just 3 heroes for the majority of the content or bring in the other 4 henchies for harder stuff. Skill in this game is a joke anymore there is no longer skill required.
